Each of our chapter daughters has proven her direct relationship to their Patriot Ancestor listed here. If you think your ancestor may have served in the American Revolution, or, one of your ancestors is listed below, you may be eligible for membership in the DAR. | AMMEN, Thorst Pvt.-PA | Thorst served as Private in Capt. Michael O'berly's 3rd Battalion, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Militia commanded by Col. George Feather, March 21, 1781. |
| ANTHONY, James Pvt.-NC | James served as Private in the 1st Regiment, Col. Mebane's Company. |
| ATCHLEY, Thomas Pvt.-NJ&VA | Thomas served as a Private in Major John Dunn's First Regiment, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Later, he served as a Private in Capt. ReddaKins's Virginia Company (Loudoun Co., VA), then as a Private in Captain John Lewis' Virginia Company of Botetourt County Regiment. |

Cornelius enlisted/was commissioned on January 14, 1776, as First Lt. in the 1st Company of 2nd Battalion, Northumberland County Associators, commanded by Col. James Potter.

| BROWN, Thomas Sgt.-MA | Thomas served as a Private under Captains Franklin and Bullock, and Colonel Carpenter, 1776 & 1778, and as a Sgt. at Lexington Alarm from Rehoboth, Massachusetts. |
BUCKNER, Jesse-NC | Jesse gave patriotic service of material aid and cash during the American Revolution, thus assisting in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of Patriotic Service while residing in Chatham Co., North Carolina. |

| CLARK, Josiah-MA | Joshiah was a Private under Capt. Nehemiac Cortis' Co., Col. Jonathan Mitchell's Regiment. He served between July 1779 and Sept 25, 1779 for 2 months and 8 days on Penobscot Expedition. |
| CLARK, Scotto-MA | Scotto provided Civil Service as a Fence Viewer in 1777 and a Juror Petit in 1778. |
| COATES, Moses-PA | Moses served as a Private in Captain Robert Elton's Company, Chester Co., PA. |
| COLEMAN, Jonathan-GA | Jonathan was a soldier under Gen. Wayne in Burke Co., Georgia. |
| CRANSTON, James-RI | James served as a Private under Capt. Johnston Knight. |
| CRAWFORD, Valentine, Jr.-PA | Valentine was a Colonel in the Virginia Militia. |
| CYBERT, Francis Jr.-NC | Francis was appointed to build and maintain roads and bridges by the County. He provided Civil Service as an overseer of roads and provided Patriotic Service by helping lay out roads in Chatham County, North Carolina. |
| DAVIS, Dolphin PVT.-VA | Dolphin was a Private in the 4th Virginia Regiment in 1777-1778. |
| DUGGER, John-VA | John enlisted and served six weeks as a Private in Captain Peterson Goodwin's Company, Colonel Banister's Regiment in the Virginia Troops, while residing in Dinwiddle County, Virginia. About a year later, he served six or seven weeks under Captain Dickson and Colonel Edward Pegrim in Virginia Troops. While residing in Brunswick County, VA, he enlisted in the fall of 1780 and served 3 months in Captain William Lucas' Company - Colonel Robert Mumford's Regeiment. |
| DENUNE (DENOON), John-MD | John served as musician in Captain William D. Beall's and Henry Dobson's Companies, 6th Maryland Regiment and in Captain Edward Spice's Company under Major Lanedale in the Maryland troops. He was in the battle of Camden, Guilford Courthouse, Siege of Ninety-six and Eutaw Springs and was discharged in June 1783. He received a wound in his hand during service. |

| DURDEN, John Capt.-NC | John provided service in North Carolina. |
| EDWARDS, Benjamin Franklin-MD | Benjamin offered civil service during the Revolutionary War. He assisted in establishing American Independance while acting in the capacities of: Representative from Maryland; member of the State house of delegates for several years; delegate to the State convention which ratified the Federal Constitution in 1788; elected to the Third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Uriah Forrest and served from January 2 to March 3, 1795. |
| FARIS, Moses-VA | Moses was a private and served under Capt's Roberts and Smith and General Scott. |
| Gillham/Gillam, Ezekiel PVT-SC | Ezekiel served as a Private under Capts. Jameson and Woods, Lt. Hillhouse; provided Civil Services as a Juror; and, provided Patriotic Services by furnishing supplies. |
| GREEN, Willis Lt.-VA |
Willis resided in Fauquier County, Virginia during the American Revolutionary War in the capacity of 2nd Lieutenant of Virginia. He also served as Ensign in Grayson's Additional Continental Regiment and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1777. Willis represented Jefferson County in the Assembly in 1783 and went to Kentucky after the American Revolutionary War having received land grants. |
| GWINNUP, George-NJ | George enlisted in 1778 and served in the 2nd Regiment NJ, Continental Lines. He was transferred to Capt. Matheniel Bowman's and Capt. Luce's Co., 2nd Regiment. He was promoted to Corp. March 1778 and transfered to Capt. DE Hart's Co., where he was then promoted to Sgt. |
| HALL, Lewis-NC | Lewis served as a soldier in North Carolina. |
| HAMILTON, Alexander-NY | Alexander served as a Lieutenant Colonel, Captain, and Aide-De-Camp to General George Washington. Alexander was also a signer of the Constitution. |
| HARLAN, Aaron, Jr.-NC | Aaron provided Patriotic Service by furnishing supplies. |
| HARLAN, Aaron, Sr.-NC | Aaron provided Patriotic Service by paying for furnished sundries and cash to the Militia of VA, NC, & SC. |
| HARLAN, George-NC | George provided Civil Service as a Juror, 1778. |
| HINDSDALE, Ariel-MA | Ariel was Corporal of Capt. Agrippa Wells' Co. of Minute Men, Col. Samuel Williams' Regiment which marched April 20, 1775 in response to the Alarm of April 19, 1775; left place of rendezvous May 6, 1775 and returned home; service 15 days. Also, was Private under Capt. Agrippa Wells' Co., Col. Porter's Regiment where he enlisted July 10, 1777 and was discharged Aug. 12, 1777. His company marched to reinforce the Northern Army after the evacuation of Ticonderoga. |

| HOFFMAN, John-PA | John provided service in Pennsylvania. |

Matthias served as a Private under Capt. Billings, Col. Richmore, Capts. Parolee and Banton in Dutchess Co. and Fairfield Co., Connecticutt. |
| KING, John-SC | John was Life Guard to Washington, Captain's Hawkins and Gibbs, and Col. Lewis. |
| LADD, Nathaniel-MA | Nathaniel served as a Private at Methuen in Essex, County, Massachusetts under Capt. Johnson and Col. Johnson. |
| LORD, Epaphras-CT | Epaphras provided Civilian Service as a Justice of the Peace, Hartford Co., Connecticutt |
| MARVIN, Ozias-CT | Ozias served as Captain of the Ninth Militia Regiment at New York and served as Captain of the 12th Company , 9th CT Regiment. He also provided Patriotic Service by supplying militia troops. |
| MARVIN, Ozias, Jr.-CT | Ozias, Jr. served as Private in the CT Militia Line under Captain's Uriah Raymond and Ozias Marvin, Sr. and Col. St. John. |
| McADAMS, William-NC | William served as a Private under Captains Carrington, Douglass, and Christmas, and Colonels Armstrong and O'Neale. |
| McNAIR, James-NC | James provided service in North Carolina. |
| McNIELL, Jonathan-KY | Jonathan served under Capt. John Allison's Company of Kentucky County, Virginia Militia under command of Colonel George Rogers Clark on the Frontier Expedition against enemy Indians. From October 23, 1782 through November 23, 1782, he enrolled and served in Capt. Simon Kenton's Company of Lincoln County Militia and also under command of General George Rogers Clark on an expedition along the Colonial frontier against the Indians. |
| MILLER, William PVT-VT | William served as a private under Capt. Thomas Sawyer. |
| MORGAN, Morgan-VA | Morgan served as a Captain and as Lt. with Captain William Haymond, Monongalia County, Virginia |
| NOEL, Septimus-MD | Septimus provided Patriotic Service by signing the Oath of Allegiance. |
| OTIS, Stephen-CT | Otis provided service in Connecticutt. |
| PARRISH, Henry-NC | Henry served as a Private from the State of North Carolina, in the Continental Line. |
| PERMENTER, Isaac-MA | Isaac enlisted in the Massachusetts Continental Line March 1, 1777, for three years, in Captain John Reed's Company, Col. Ichabod Alden's Regiment, at Oakham, Mass., and received 20 pounds bounty. He was wounded in action in Cobleskill, New York, May 31, 1778, when a small American force was drawn into ambuscade by a large party of Indians under Brant. He rejoined his regiment after five months in the hospital at Schenectady, NY. On Novemeber 1,1778, he was taken prisoner in the Indian Raid at Cherry Valley. Again on October 16, 1780, he was taken prisoner by a force of British and Indians from Canada at Ballston, NY. He was exchanged and returned December 6, 1782, after enduring about two years of great hardship from his captors. |
| PERRY, Elijah-MA | Elijah was a Private and entered service Sept. 6, 1778. He was discharged Sept. 12, 1778 serving 6 days after his Company marched from Middleborough to Dartmouth on two alarms, one in May and one in Sept. 1778. He enlisted again on July 23, 1780 and was discharged Oct. 27, 1780 having serviced 3 months and 5 days. His regiment had been detached to reinforce Continental Army for 3 months. |

| RIGGS, Betheul-NC&NJ | Betheul provided service in North Carolina and New Jersey. |
| ROGERS, Andrew-CT | Andrew served as a Seaman and Privateer on the "Marquis de Lafayette" under Commander Elisha Hinman at Montville, New London County, Connecticutt. |
| ROUTH, Joseph-NC | Joseph served his tour of duty under Captain Hinds, 1780. |
| SEIBERLING, Christian-PA | Christian was a Private in Northhampton County, Pennsylvania and was a Ranger on the Frontier 1778-1779. He also served as a Private 1st class in Capt. Christian Marburger's Co., 3rd Battalion of Northhampton County Militia 1778. |
| SERVISM, Philip Lt.-NJ | Philip provided service in New Jersey. |
| SHERROD, Thomas Maj.-NC | Thomas served as a Major in the Bute County Militia, and provided both Civil and Patriotic Service by serving as a member of the General Assembly; member of the Committee of Safety; Sheriff; Juror; and County Minister. |
| SPINNING, Mattias-NJ | Mattias served as a Private in the Essex County, New Jersey Militia. |
| STEBBINS, Jonathan-MA | Jonathan provided Civil Service. |
| STEBBINS, Noah-MA | Noah served as a Sgt. under Capt. Paul Langdon's (Wilbraham) Co. of Minute Men, which marched in response to the alarm of April 19, 1775. Also, Lieut. Stebbins detached July 10, 1778 to join men under Col. Wade and Col. Jacobs at Providence. |
| WASH, Benjamin Cpl-VA | Benjamin served as a Corporal at Amherst County, Virginia in the 6th Regiment, 110th Continental Lines under Capt. James Franklin from 1776-1777. |
